HSBC Global Asset Management has hired Ernst Osiander as the new head of its global bond team in London, replacing Guy Dunham.

Osiander will be a part of the firm’s global fixed income management group, and will report to the bank’s global chief investment officer Xavier Baraton.

In addition, Osiander will also provide input on global rates and G10 currencies.

HSBC said that the management of the global bond team’s mandates including global aggregate, global government, sterling gilts, sterling credit and US Dollar aggregate will be split among various members of the team.

Osiander has joined HSBC in 2012 from FMS Wertmanagement. Prior to this, he has worked for a number of boutiques within BNY Mellon Asset Management.
