HSBC Global Asset Management (HSBC GAM) has appointed Roberto Citarella as managing director of Italian business.
In this newly created role, Citarella will be in charge of Italian and Swiss wholesale clients and will report to Matthew Pardi, CEO of HSBC Global Asset Management (France).

Citarella has joined HSBC GAM in 2001 and has contributed to the launch of the Italian branch, for which he was appointed head of sales in 2002.
In 2007 he was appointed deputy managing director, contributing to the development of activities in Italy.
Prior to joining HSBC, Citarella has joined Robert Fleming in Sim (now JP Morgan Asset Management).
Citarella has started his career in 1996 as private banker in Banca Popolare di Lodi and also worked as portfolio manager for the bank’s HNW clients.
