HSBC China has promoted Montgomery Ho as new deputy CEO and executive director.

Ho, who has joined HSBC in 1983, most recently served as managing director & China head of commercial banking for HSBC Bank.

Previously, he has held several roles at HSBC including senior manager sales, service and channel development in commercial banking in 2003, senior manager commercial banking in December 2004, managing director commercial banking in November 2007 and as managing director & china head of commercial banking for HSBC Bank (China) Company Limited in October 2010.

Prior to HSBC, Ho worked at Hang Seng Bank in 2001 as a department head in corporate banking, leading a group of relationship managers.

Additionally, he has also served several roles in departments including deposit and saving, trade, strategy and planning. Ho has wealth of expertise in construction business financing and property investment financing.
