HSBC Private Bank has appointed Siew Meng Tan as new regional head of global private banking (GPB) in Asia Pacific, replacing Bernard Rennell, who has been named as senior advisor to the CEO, Key Client Coverage.

Tan’s appointment will be effective from 1 January 2017, and is subject to regulatory approval.

Prior to her new role, Tan served at Commercial Banking division. Most recently, she served as regional head of global trade and receivables finance for Asia Pacific.

Tan has been with the firm from last 12 years, and held various senior positions, such as CEO Mauritius and CEO Thailand.

Rennell, in his new role, will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with key clients across Asia Pacific and worldwide. He will also continue to lead Family Governance and Family Enterprise Succession globally.
