Private Wealth Management Association (PWMA) in Hong Kong has appointed Kathryn Shih as the chairman of the executive committee.

The Shih Allen Lo, who also retired as country head and chief executive of UBS Hong Kong in April, reported Asia Asset Management.

Shih is CEO of UBS Wealth Management in Asia Pacific and also its group managing director of UBS.

Shih joined UBS in 1987 and was appointed CEO of UBS Wealth Management, Asia Pacific in 2002.

The appointment made to leverage her extensive knowledge of wealth management in the region to build upon the strong foundation established by her predecessor, besides continuing momentum in the further development of the Hong Kong wealth management industry.

A voluntary association, the PWMA has 27 member banks is designed to better Hong Kong’s private wealth management industry.
