UK-based Hermes Investment Management (Hermes) has recruited Gill Clarke as its new strategic compliance director.
Clarke will head the compliance team and will be responsible for functional expertise, compliance monitoring and advisory.

She will oversee the development and implementation of a strategic compliance plan to set up and maintain the operational platform for the company’s future growth.
In addition, she will serve as a strategic advisor on all compliance related matters to the Hermes executive committee and board. Clarke will be based in London, and will report to Hermes CEO Saker Nusseibeh.

Clarke most recently worked as head of legal, compliance and risk at Close Brothers Asset Management. Earlier, she served as head of international compliance at Blackrock, head of legal, compliance and risk management at ABN AMRO and UBS Global Asset Management.
