Henderson Global Investors has named David Smith as co-manager of its GBP209 million Henderson High Income Trust, effective 2 January.
Smith will join Alex Crooke, who has been running the investment trust on his own since 1997.

Smith, who joined Henderson more than 11 years ago, has served as deputy manager of the trust since January 2013.
Crooke also manages the £675 million Bankers Investment Trust.
According to FE Analytics report, Henderson High Income has gained 29.91% over 2013, with its three and five-year returns standing at 63.7% and 156.2% respectively.
