Henderson Global Trust’s lead portfolio manager Brian O’Neill is set to retire at the end of January next year after running the investment trust for 30 years.
Wouter Volckaert, who recently joined Henderson’s global equities team, will succeed O’Neill.

Following his retirement, O’Neill will remain part of the global equities team to ensure an orderly transfer of responsibilities and providing continuity of investment approach.
Commenting on the changes, Volckaert said: "The trust is in great shape and I look forward to carrying on working with Henderson’s wider global equities team to achieve the trust’s objectives, and complete Brian’s ambition to make this a truly global portfolio."
According to data from FE Analytics, the trust has delivered 87.5% in the past five years compared with the 80.4% return by the MSCI AC World index which is adopted as the firm’s benchmark index in June this year.
