Hargreaves Lansdown has named Steve Clayton as new head of equity research in a move to expand its stockbroking service.
Based in the firm’s Bristol offices, Clayton will be responsible for improving and expanding the stockbroker’s equity research.

Prior to joining Hargreaves, Clayton worked with Mirabaud Securities, where he was a sell-side analyst.
Before to this, Clayton worked at Halifax Fund Managers, Dresdner RCM Global Investors and Liverpool Victoria Asset Management.
Additionally, Mark Dampier will remain head of research at the group, while Richard Hunter will also remain in his role as head of equities.
Clayton said: "The opportunity to join the largest retail stockbroker in the UK to help develop and expand their range of services was not one to miss."
