At the time of the deal’s announcement, Handelsbanken Netherlands head Mikael Sorensen said: "This purchase makes it possible for us to broaden our offering to these customers. It is also a vital step in our evolution towards becoming a full-service bank in the Netherlands.”

Handelsbanken will acquire all shares in Optimix as part of the deal, making Optimix its wholly owned subsidiary.

The transaction is expected to have a marginal impact on the banking group’s key figures.

Optimix has operations in Amsterdam, Groningen and Vught, and employs a workforce of 35. The company currently oversees nearly EUR2bn of assets for high-net worth individuals, entrepreneurs, foundations and charities.
