Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) has rolled out a new global equity fund, targeted at UK retail investors.

The new fund, dubbed Global Equity Long Short Portfolio, is designed to mitigate market risk and limit volatility by investing in high conviction ideas.
It will be managed by the Goldman Sachs Investment Strategies (GSIS) portfolio management team, led by Raanan Agus and Kenneth Eberts.
The new offering will be available to institutional as well as retail clients and across Europe.
GSAM international third party distribution head Nick Phillips said: "In the current market environment there is significant client demand to protect downside risk. Our clients are looking for alternative ways to invest in equities, with lower correlation to markets.
