GLG Partners has expanded its Japan CoreAlpha team by hiring Adrian Edwards as new portfolio manager.
In his new role, Edwards will operate as part of the Japan CoreAlpha team, which manages the UK-domiciled £1.29 billion Japan CoreAlpha Fund and the Dublin-domiciled $4.35 billion Japan CoreAlpha Equity fund.

Edwards will report to GLG head of Japanese equities Stephen Harker and will work alongside senior portfolio managers Jeffrey Atherton and Neil Edwards.
Edwards has joined GLG from Stratton Street Capital, where he worked as an assistant fund manager on the firm’s Japanese equity fund strategies.
Harker said that GLG is boosting the team to reflect the substantial inflows into the portfolios.
"With his experience of investing in Japanese equities, he will be a valuable addition to our team, which has expanded to reflect the substantial inflows into the portfolios," Harker added.
