German tax authorities in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) have purchased new CD containing client details of several thousand German tax evaders with accounts at a Swiss bank.

Each client maintained an account containing up to 5m at an unidentified bank and NRW tax investigators were currently investigating the data, according to German newspaper Bild am Sonntag.
The newspaper said that there have been several raids on the unreported income of clients of Credit Suisse in NRW last week related to a tax CD that NRW authorities purchased in 2012.
Since 2010, NRW has bought a number of CDs containing data of tax evaders and almost 19,000 tax evaders in have declared themselves to authorities.
