Zurich-based fund information provider fundinfo has teamed up with UBS Global Wealth Management to unveil a new tool called News Dissemination that will allow fund providers to publish fund-specific news for their distribution partners and investors.
The service will enable fund managers to offer their insights on various topics such as current market or political events.

The tool will leverage fundinfo’s web-based content management system to allow fund managers to create, edit, and archive their news.
Commenting on the new service, fundinfo CEO Philipp Portmann said: “We are delighted that with News Dissemination we can offer a valuable new service to asset managers and distributors that will lead to increased efficiency and allow them to broaden their reach.”
UBS has integrated the new service with its client-facing applications including UBS eBanking, UBS Quotes, as well as Wealth Management Online (WMO).
UBS Global Wealth Management managing director and global head of investment funds and alternatives distribution Bryan Crawford said: “It’s the first time fund providers have the opportunity to deliver ad-hoc and near real-time insights on their funds in an automated and structured fashion to all our client advisers and also to our clients.”
