As part of an initiative to bolster its European fixed income capabilities, Franklin Templeton Investments has promoted David Zahn to head of European fixed income.
According to Franklin Templeton, the move was the result of "increased demand for dedicated European fixed income strategies from institutional and retail clients".

Zahn has been with Franklin Templeton since 2006, prior to which he worked in European fixed income at Citigroup. He has over 10 years’ experience in European fixed income management, with almost two decades’ experience in asset management.
Franklin Templeton also plans to add new investment resources on the ground across Europe.
There were "significant opportunities" in European fixed income, said Franklin Templeton, adding that the creation of a dedicated team would allow it to "enhance" the products and service offered to clients.
