Franklin Templeton Investments has launched an Asian dividend fund managed by Mark Mobius.
Franklin Templeton Asset Management senior executive vice president, Tom Wu, is the co-manager along with group chief executive Mark Mobius for the Asian Dividend fund.

The Templeton Asian Dividend fund is a sub-fund of the Luxembourg-domiciled SICAV, Franklin Templeton Investment Funds range.
The managers will take an unconstrained approach with a long-term view regarding investment in dividend and growth opportunities across the region.
Mobius said: "Asia is still one of the fastest growing regions of the world. As an exporter, it benefits from increasing global demand but is also experiencing a growing domestic market. The growing middle class is demanding more consumer goods and is able and willing to pay higher prices."
The investment universe includes countries such as Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
