Franklin Templeton Investments has named Manraj Skehon as its new CIO of emerging markets equity.
Based in Singapore, Sekhon will manage over 80 Franklin Templeton emerging markets equity investment professionals in 20 offices worldwide.

He will take up the new responsibility on 19 February 2018, reporting to the firm’s head of equities Stephen Dover.
“As part of the next phase in the evolution of our emerging markets teams, we are pleased to bring on a leader who I am confident will best leverage the breadth of our investment talent across emerging markets equities to deliver the high quality investment strategies and performance that our clients expect,” Dover stated.
Sekhon most recently served as the CEO, CIO and director of Singapore-based Fullerton Fund Management.
In his investment career spanning over two decades, he also worked as director and head of international equities at Henderson Global Investors.
