Franklin Templeton Investments has hired Clive Paine and Steven Gardners for its UK institutional team.

In his new role, Paine will serve as director of the UK institutional team, where he will be responsible for building client relationships across the UK institutional market as well as will focus on new business generation, reports Plan Sponsor.

Paine most recently served as head of institutional sales, UK in Lyxor Asset Management.

Gardners will be designated as associate director with Franklin’s UK institutional team in his new role, and will manage client relationships.

Prior to this, he worked at business development director responsible for sales and client relations at TopQ Software Limited.

The company has also appointed James Savage as senior manager of institutional sales in Australia, reports Investor Daily.

In his new role, Savage will help provide the firm’s full range capabilities to institutional investors in Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia.

Savage most recently served as head of institutional sales at boutique manager Tribeca Investment Partners.
