Waddell, whose appointment is effective immediately, will be based in Singapore.

Waddell earlier served as principal and executive director at Lahinch Partners. Before that he co-headed the establishment of AMP Advice, following the merger of AMP and AXA Australia.

FPI CEO Adrian Emery said: "Having provided consultancy to global wealth managers and insurers in Singapore for the past two years, Andrew is well placed to drive the Singapore business forward in the new strategic direction.

"At the same time, I want to express my heartfelt thanks to Chris for his contributions over the past 18 years. Starting out in the UK, Chris has been instrumental in extending our international footprint and establishing our strong presence across Hong Kong and Singapore. I would like to wish him all the best in his future endeavours."
