Maeter will report to Peter Gabriele, head of investments for Europe, Middle East and Africa at JP Morgan Private Bank, and Olivier de Givenchy, head of the private bank in the UK.
Maeter joined RBC in 2010 from HSBC. At HSBC she was the head of investments after building and managing the high net worth team and launching the sales management division in London. She joined HSBC following a stint at JP Morgan where she took on a variety of roles, starting on the derivatives desk.
Maeter is, reportedly, starting her new role at JP Morgan with immediate effect.
The hire comes following the announcement that JP Morgan is planning to expand its presence in the UK high net worth market. In May, JP Morgan appointed executive director, Andrew Kennedy, as a private banker for its team in the UK.
