First Republic Bank, a US-based private bank and wealth manager, has named Chris Wolfe as the new CIO of First Republic Private Wealth Management.
Wolfe will manage investment strategy and outlook of First Republic Private Wealth Management, including First Republic’s integrated investment, trust and brokerage groups.

He will report to First Republic Private Wealth Management president Bob Thornton in the new role.
Wolfe, who has 25 years of experience in investment management, was most recently CIO of Merrill Lynch’s global wealth management arm.
Previously, he also had a stint as global head of equities at JP Morgan Securities/JP Morgan Private Bank, as well as served in research management roles at Lincoln Capital and Dover Management.
