Canadian asset manager Fiera Capital has set up a new headquarters for its European business in London.

The new facility at Mayfair will be home to the firm’s UK-based units such as Fiera Real Estate UK, Fiera Capital UK, and Fiera Infrastructure.

The facility will currently be staffed by around 85 employees and also have room for future expansion.

Fiera Capital global president and COO Vincent Duhamel said: “Over the last three years, Fiera Capital has made a significant investment in the UK to create the foundation for the future growth of our business outside of our historic bases of Canada and the US. This reflects our long-term commitment to the UK and broader European markets.

“Bringing together all of our UK based operations under one roof to create our new European headquarters in London, pools a vast wealth of expertise and knowledge and marks a key milestone in our global growth ambitions.”

The latest move comes after Fiera Capital’s purchase of an 80% stake in UK-based real estate investment manager Palmer Capital Partners.

The deal marked Fiera Capital’s debut acquisition of a real estate investment manager outside Canada.

The firm made several other acquisitions last year, including the purchase of Toronto-based Integrated Asset Management and Foresters Asset Management.

Fiera Capital operates a range of strategies covering equity, hedge fund, infrastructure, and private debt, among others.
