Canada-based asset manger Fiera Capital Corporation has hired Paul Vaillancourt as new executive vice president of private wealth.
In his new role, Vaillancourt will lead the firm’s entire private wealth business in Canada and will report to Fiera Capital’s president and COO, Sylvain Brosseau.

Vaillancourt has joined Fiera Capital in December 2012, when it bought Canadian Wealth Management, a subsidiary of Société Générale Private Banking located in Calgary, where he served as CIO and CEO.
Prior to joining Fiera Capital, Vaillancourt has served roles at firm including Royal Bank of Canada, Franklin Templeton and Canadian Wealth Management.
Brosseau said: "This appointment fits into our plan to foster growth in our private wealth business across the country. Paul has clearly demonstrated his ability to develop and share high-level client-centred expertise: he is an excellent motivator and has the leadership qualities we are looking for to lead the Firm into a new phase of development and growth."
