German investment manager Feri Trust has poached Patrick Zenz-Spitzweg from Pictet & Cie (Europe) in Frankfurt to serve as its managing director.

The appointment of Zenz-Spitzweg was effective on 1 August.

He has been tasked with expanding and maintaining customer relationships in the private client area. At the same time, he will head the team in Bad Homburg and the Family Office area.

At Pictet, he latterly was the wealth management head. His stint at the firm started in 2012.

Previously, he also served at UBS Deutschland in Frankfurt.

Other managing directors of Feri Trust are Marcus Brunner, Marcus Burkert, Carsten Hermann and Andreas Schmidt-von Rhein.

Meanwhile, Zenz-Spitzweg’s predecessor Frank Straatmann will remain a FERI board member and manage the private customers area.

Commenting on the new appointment, Straatmann stated: “We are pleased to have Dr. Patrick Zenz-Spitzweg to have gained a proven expert in the management of large private assets.

“With his many years of experience, he will continue to expand the private customer and family office business, which has been successful since FERI was founded over 30 years ago, and align it even more closely with the needs of today’s generation of entrepreneurs.”

Feri serves institutional investors, family assets and foundations.

It is based in Bad Homburg, and also has offices in Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Munich, Luxembourg, Vienna as well as Zurich.
