The Financial Conduct Authority has hired Robert Taylor as their new head of wealth management and private banking in its supervision division.

Taylor has significant experience in the sector, having been a star employee at Kleinwort Benson as chief executive. His career has also taken him to Merrill Lynch, SG Hambros and Coutts.
His appointment will bolster the authority of wealth management supervision at the FCA.
Director of supervision, Clive Adamson, said: "I’m delighted that Rob is joining our senior team at the FCA. He has an extensive knowledge of the market as we continue to develop our new regulatory focus on the wealth management industry. The addition of such an experience practitioner will be warmly welcomed by both FCA staff and the sector."
