The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has appointed three new members to the regulatory decisions committee (RDC) which include a former JP Morgan investment banker and Barclay’s director.
The three new appointments include Iraj Amiri, Richard Berliand and John Callender.

The 11 member RDC is responsible for issuing warning and decision notices for certain enforcement cases as well as deciding whether to refuse or allow contested applications to become regulated.
Amiri, a former senior partner at Deloitte, has auditing experience in financial, retail and public sectors. During his time at Deloitte, he was seconded to Schroders as global head of internal audit for more than 10 years.
Berliand is a retired JP Morgan investment banker who also holds a number of non-executive director (NED) roles including membership of the supervisory boards of Deutsche Börse & Eurex Frankfurt. He is also a member of the CFTC Global Markets advisory committee.
Callender, a former commercial director at Barclays Bank -UK Banking, has various NED positions including as the non-executive chair of ANZ Bank Europe.

By GlobalDataApart from the new members, the FCA has also appointed Andrew Long as chair of the committee until September 2014.
Long is currently acting chairman and will be supported by Peter Hinchliffe, who joined the RDC in February 2012 and was recently appointed as a deputy chairman.
