Rob Thorpe, head of consumer, will assume the responsibilities of Yule.

In his new role, Thorpe will be responsible for the sales and distribution of F&C’s retail funds and investment trust ranges in the intermediated market and will report to head of client management Mandy Mannix.

Previously, Yule had served sales roles at F&C since 1994 and also worked as a sales director at asset manager Thames River, which was acquired by F&C in 2010.

Thorpe has joined F&C in December last year from Sarasin & Partners to take the role of head of consumer. Prior to this, he has spent nine years at Cazenove Capital as head of UK retail prior to acquisition by Schroders.
