F&C Investments has appointed two new members – Nick Woodward as structurer in the LDI team and Kristy Barr as director, sales and client relationships – as the firm plans to grow its institutional business.

Barr will be reporting to Mandy Mannix, responsible for client service and distribution at F&C, and Woodward will report to Marius Penderis, senior structurer at F&C, as well as Alex Soulsby, head of LDI team.
At F&C, Barr will work across the range of institutional clients, developing relationships and solutions to meet client objectives. Woodward will work with F&C fund managers to analyse scheme liabilities and assets, design innovative liability hedge and derivative solutions for clients, and to develop and maintain F&C’s LDI modelling capabilities in order to meet client requirements.
Barr has previously worked for Callanish Capital Partners LLP as Founding Partner and head of marketing and investor relations and other firms such as Old Mutual Asset Managers and Goldman Sachs.
Prior to F&C, Woodward has worked for KPMG’s Investment advisory division as head of modelling and LDI. He has also worked with Mercer, Deutsche Bank and Paternoster.
