Family Bhive, an exclusive website for high net worth individuals (HNW) and the private client industry to interact, has launched a revamped version of their social media site.

The new social media platform connects the HNW with their advisers, allowing users to share and follow wealthy lifestyle and private wealth intelligence based on personal preferences.

Corporate partners share their expertise through articles, blogs and events directly onto the site, the effectiveness of which can be monitored.

The social media functionality enables users to "follow" those corporate partners of most interest to them, so that partners develop a network which is genuinely interested in their services.

These cover private banking, succession, property or capital taxation, or passions such as private jet hire, yachting, art, jewellery or philanthropy.

"A more controlled environment"

Former leading private client lawyer and CEO of Family Bhive, Caroline Garnham, said: "This social media platform helps HNW families and their family offices get the most from their advisers. It will help wealth advisors reach new HNW clients by showcasing their talents, and it’s a more controlled environment than conventional social media where we can measure the effectiveness of campaigns and demonstrate return on investment."

Founded in March 2008, , Family Bhive is used by private clients with more than £5m in investable wealth and a number of corporate clients such as C. Hoare & Co, Lord North Street, Investec and Vestra Wealth.

As for November 2011, the social platform has 31 websites linking in to it, and top search queries of 56.30% for "family bhive", according to Alexa.com, an internet information provider.
