Evanston Capital Management (ECM), a US-based alternative investment management firm, has hired Lance Donenberg as new principal and head of strategic business development.

In his new role, Donenberg will oversee the firm’s business development and client service functions.

Donenberg joined Evanston Capital from Man Group, where he served as co- head of North America and head of business development.

Prior to this, he served as head of sourcing and as a member of the Investment Committee for Glenwood Capital, a division of Man Investments. Donenberg was also a co-founder and head of business development for Balyasny Asset Management, and worked as a portfolio manager at Schonfeld Securities.

Founded in 2002, ECM manages approximately $4.9bn in assets under management and has approximately 300 institutional investor relationships.
