ETF Securities, an asset management firm focused on exchange-traded funds, has hired James Butterfill from Coutts as its new research & investment strategy head.
Based in London, Butterfill will report to ETF Securities chief executive Mark Weeks.

Butterfill will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of the global research team as well as provide clients with insight into global macroeconomic and asset class specific developments.
Butterfill spent five years as a multi-asset fund manager and global equity strategist at Coutts. Prior to that, he was associated with HSBC.
