Consulting firm Ernst & Young has adopted the abbreviated ‘EY’ as its new name as Mark Weinberger took the reins as CEO and global chairman of the firm.
The firm also unveiled a new logo and adopted ‘Building a better working world’ as its new tagline.

EY said the adoption of the new name "will provide consistency and ease of use for EY practices and clients around the world."
Weinberger, the firm’s former global head of tax, has replaced Jim Turley, who held the role of chairman since 2001 before retiring last month.
Weinberger also held a number of roles including Americas head of tax and was a member of the global and Americas executive. He also served on the global markets executive and global public policy committees.
He was also assistant secretary of the US Treasury (Tax Policy) under President George W Bush, and he was appointed to the US Social Security Advisory Board by President Clinton.
