Equity Trustees has recruited Lance Pupelis as head of cash and fixed income, a newly created role after the company agreed to acquire ANZ Trustees.
In this role, Pupelis will be responsible for managing the development of an in-house capability in these categories to help ensure a smooth transition of existing investment mandates and portfolio from ANZ Trustees, according to investordaily.com.au.

Before joining the firm, Pupelis was the head of fixed income at ANZ Trustees, and before that at Aviva Investors Australia holding the same role.
A veteran in the field of financial services and funds management, with 28 years of experience, Pupelis also worked as the director of fixed interest at Norwich Investment Management.
Equity Trustees head of private wealth services, Geoffory Rimmer, said: "An internal cash and fixed income capability is needed to meet the requirements to take on the ANZ Trustees business."
