Equity Trustees (EQT) has appointed Catherine Elversson and Andrew Woods as estate planning solicitors to support the growth of its estate planning and wills business.

Catherine Elversson and Andrew Woods will be based in Sydney and Melbourne respectively and will report to estate planning national manager Anna Hacker.

They will provide estate planning advice to clients on a range of matters, including wills, estate planning, powers of attorney, estate administration, estate litigation and guardianship applications.

Elversson joins Equity Trustees from Parramatta-based law firm Matthews Folbigg, where she headed up the estate planning department. She has also worked at National Australia Trustees within the private wealth division of National Australia Bank.

Woods worked at EQT as a trust officer and as a wills and estate specialist between 1985 and 2001.

"Andrew’s work in Bermuda involved complicated wills and estate planning and administration for ultra-high net worth [individuals], involving multiple jurisdictions," Hacker said.
