EQ Investors, a UK-based wealth manager led by Bestinvest founder John Spiers, has rolled out a new investment service for high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), companies and charities with over £750,000 to invest.

The service, which is available on a standalone basis or in combination with EQ’s full financial planning services, provides direct relationship with the investment manager who manages the portfolio.

In addition, the proposition offers tax optimisation across wrappers, access to an investment universe including closed-ended funds and structured products, option to run multiple types of portfolios with different risk profiles as well as the ability to transition risk profiles on a gradual basis.

It also offers competitive fees including institutional fund management charges and secure online portal with 24/7 access to portfolio valuations.

Headed by former Bestinvest director of investment management Mike Neumann, the service will be managed by a team of two investment managers namely Andrew Rees and Daniel Bland.

The bespoke team will also manage institutional accounts, including charities, pensions and trusts, the company said in a statement.

EQ Investors currently delivers a fully advised service through its EQ Wealth division, with plans to roll out a simplified advice solution by the end of 2015.
