Swiss private bank EFG International has appointed Michael Vlahovic as its head of private banking in the UK, replacing Daniel Gerber.

Vlahovic will assume the new role on 1 July 2017 and will be based in London. He will report to the firm’s head of UK region and executive committee member Anthony Cooke-Yarborough. The appointment of Vlahovic is subject to regulatory approval.

Vlahovic joined the Swiss bank in 2015 as managing director for Eastern Europe and Russia.

He currently also serves as the firm’s global market coordinator for Russia/CIS, a role he will continue to serve apart from his new responsibility.

Before joining EFG, Vlahovic worked at Coutts & Co and prior to that had a 15-year stint at Credit Suisse.
