Edmond de Rothschild, a Swiss private banking and asset management group, has named Gideon Nieuwoudt as its new director of alternative investment solutions.
The role was specifically created by the Swiss group for Nieuwoudt, finalternatives.com reported.

Nieuwoudt most recently served at hedge fund Silver Creek Capital, where he held the position of a managing director and head of London office, as well as was on the firm’s investment committee.
At Silver Creek Capital, Nieuwoudt was tasked with helping expansion the firm’s non-US business with a focus on increasing the investment opportunities in Europe and Asia.
Before joining Silver Creek, he served in the role of a senior manager research consultant at Watson Wyatt Worldwide in New York.
At Watson Wyatt Worldwide, he consulted global pension funds, insurance companies as well as endowments on their alternative investments.
