Edmond de Rothschild has appointed Xing Hu as head of Chinese equities.
Hu will be based in Hong Kong and report to Thomas Gerhardt, head of global emerging markets and commodities team consisting of 12 members.

Xing Hu will be responsible for the management of the funds EdR Mainland China and EdR China.
Xing Hu started his career in 1996, at Atlas Gestion, a French asset management company of the Salomon Oppenheim Group, as fund manager specialising on the Greater China and Asia ex-Japan markets.
Hu also worked for Manulife TEDA Asset Management as head of global investment division in 2008, and also managed the Qualified Foreign Institutional Investors (QFII) advisory business as well as the funds operations for the Qualified Domestic Institutional Investors (QDII).
