Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management has bolstered its investment expertise and teams in the UK and rest of the Europe with a series of new hires.
The group has hired Agnès Belaisch as head of the sovereign debt team. She will report to Benjamin Melman and will reinforce team expertise in international bonds, notably sovereign debt denominated in local currency.

In addition, she will also develop new global fixed income strategies focused on a global macro approach.
She joined Edmond de Rothschild from the European Central Bank’s bailout fund, the European Stability Mechanism, where she was in charge of economic and market analysis. Prior to that, she worked as Emerging Market Strategy at Threadneedle Asset Management in London where she also managed an emerging sovereign debt fund.
Also, the firm has appointed Laurent Le Grin as head of convertible bonds in the corporate debt team, led by Kris Deblander. Le Grin will be based in London supported by new fund manager/analysts Alina Epifantseva and Thibaut Bailly.
Furthermore, Edmond de Rothschild has expanded UK sales team by hiring Daniel Lee as director of sales distribution. He will report to Charles Goodman, Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management UK CEO. He previously worked as sales director at Allianz Global Investors

As part of the expansion, the firm has opened offices in Zurich and restructured its German, Swiss and Italian sales teams.
The company has hired Sascha Pilz as executive director of German and Austrian institutional clients in Frankfurt, while Mélanie Böttcher-Hackl (sales support) and Samantha Phillips (sales) have been appointed to its distribution division in Switzerland. Elena Bossola has been named as head of Third Party Distribution.
