It will invest in fixed and floating rate global income securities, which include corporate bonds, government securities, mortgage related and other asset-backed securities, and convertible securities.
Eaton Vance co-director for diversified fixed income and lead portfolio manager Kathleen Gaffney said that the fund launch has been triggered by increased market volatility, and it will utilise a credit focused multi-sector approach to investing.
"The uncertainty surrounding the Federal Reserve’s interest-rate policy has undoubtedly created a more volatile fixed-income market, which is expected to result in increasing price gaps and the creation of value in the credit markets," Gaffney added.
