Eastspring Investments, the asset management arm of Prudential Corporation Asia, has hired King Lun Au as CEO for Hong Kong.

In his new role, Lun Au will be responsible for growing the firm’s Hong Kong operation, more specifically as a gateway to cross-border activities with China.

Prior to joining Eastspring, Lun Au worked with Bank of China Hong Kong (BOCHK) Asset Management, where he was chief executive for the past five years.

Earlier to this, he worked with FRM Hong Kong as CEO, where he helped establish and manage the firm’s Hong Kong office, servicing mandates from sovereign and institutional clients.

Lun Au, who has 30 years of sector experience, is also a member of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission Advisory Committee and the Financial Services Development Council. He is a former chairman of the Hong Kong Securities and investment Institute as well as chairman of the Investment Funds Association.
