Previously, Gandon spent five years with Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management in Paris, France and prior to that worked in audit for financial institutions with Deloitte in Luxembourg.

Michael Hanson-Lawson, CEO of East Capital Asia, was quoted by The Asset, saying, "We have built a strong operation in Asia and have capitalised on the increasing interest from institutional and wholesale investors in our funds.

"Focusing on our Eastern European fund range as well as our Asian products, Gandon brings rich experience and a solid understanding of this dynamic."
