Deutsche Bank has appointed Rafik Nayed as its new chief country officer for the United Arab Emirates and senior executive officer of the bank’s Dubai branch.

Nayed will also become a member of the bank’s MENA Executive Committee and will report to Ashok Aram, Deutsche Bank’s CEO for the Middle East and North Africa.

Nayed, who takes over from Nadeem Masud, has over two decades of experience in the financial services industry.

Nayed will continue to serve as the vice chairman of Deutsche Bank for the Middle East & North Africa (Mena), the bank said.
