Deutsche Bank has appointed Evan Goldstein as new global head of renminbi (RMB) services.

Based in Hong Kong, Goldstein will be reporting to Michael Ormaechea, co-head of corporate banking & securities for Asia Pacific as well as Lisa Robins, Asia Pacific head of global transaction banking.

In his new role, Goldstein will manage and integrate the growth of Renminbi-related activities across the bank globally as well as ensure their alignment with the strategic imperatives, product development initiatives and client-focused objectives of the Bank.

Additionally, he will also focus on delivering the bank’s capabilities such as foreign exchange and corporate banking services, to clients.

Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Goldstein worked with Standard Chartered Bank as managing director, head of product management for financial institutions Asia within its transaction banking unit.

Earlier, he had also worked at JP Morgan for 13 years in several strategic, management and product development roles.
