Deutsche Bank appoints co-heads of investment banking and advisory business

Deutsche Bank has appointed veteran bankers, Henrik Aslaksen and Paul Stefanick as the co-heads of investment banking and advisory business.

By Verdict Staff

The duo is replacing Jacques Brand who had been promoted to CEO of North America in November 2012.

Stefanick will be joined by John Eydenberg as the co-head of the unit in the Americas, where more than half of the bank’s investment banking fees come from.

Additionally, Stefanick and Mark Fedorcik have also been named as the head of the broader corporate finance unit in the Americas.

While Aslaksen had been the global head of M&A, Stefanick had been the head of investment banking in the Americas.
