Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management (DeAWM) has named Philip Poole as new head of research.
Based in London, Poole will reports to DeAWM’s co-chief investment officers, Randy Brown and Asoka Wöhrmann.

In his new role, Poole will oversee research activity across DeAWM’s investment platform globally as well as contribute to the house view generated by DeAWM’s CIO.
Additionally, Poole will also manage micro research, providing portfolio managers with investable ideas across all asset classes in addition to delivering DeAWM’s investment views to clients and the media.
Poole has joined DeAWM from HSBC Global Asset Management, where he served as global head of macro & investment strategy. He also worked as GLOBAL HEAD OF RESEARCH AND CHIEF ECONOMIST FOR EMERGING MARKETS For the HSBC Group across asset classes from 2004-2010.
Prior to this, he has worked at ING Barings and Barclays.
