Singapore’s DBS Group Holdings has named Shee Tse Koon as its new group head of strategy and planning.
In the new role, Koon will help develop and implement the bank’s ongoing strategy, such as offering thought leadership to the senior leadership team on key strategic issues.

He will also join the bank's group management committee (GMC), and report to DBS CEO Piyush Gupta.
Koon, with over 22 years of banking experience, most recently served as the CEO at Standard Chartered Bank’s Indonesia franchise.
His other roles at Standard Chartered include head of governance (Europe, Middle East, Africa & Americas), based in the UAE, chief information officer and head of technology and operations at Standard Chartered in Singapore.
Prior to that, he served as the executive assistant to Standard Chartered group executive director for Africa & the Middle East, based in the UK.
