Ireland-based wealth manager Davy Group has hired Alan Werlau as new senior investment strategist for its private client division.
In his new role, Werlau will be responsible for managing Davy’s UK investment offering and will report to head of investment strategy Brian O’Reilly, who joined Davy in 2012 also from UBS.

Additionally, he will also serve as a member of the Davy’s Global Investment Committee that manages EUR15bn of assets under management.
Werlau, who has more than 25 years of experience in asset management and investment management, has previously worked with UBS Investment Bank.
Prior to joining UBS, he founded hedge fund Black Arrow Capital Management, and held roles at Deltec Asset Management, Bankers Trust and JPMorgan Chase.
