Swiss banking giant Credit Suisse has named Alex Wade as new head of private banking Australia, replacing Edward Jewell-Tait.
Based in Sydney, Wade will report to Credit Suisse Australia CEO John Knox alongside the company’s head of private banking Asia Pacific, Francesco de Ferrari.

Wade, whose appointment is effective 1 January 2016, will be responsible for driving growth of the bank’s Australian franchise, building on the success the bank has achieved in providing products and services to HNW and UHNW clients in Australia.
Wade, who has over 15 years’ experience in the banking industry in Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia, is currently the market area head, Australia and Asia Pacific Switzerland for Private Banking Asia Pacific, and chief of staff for the unit in the region.
