Credit Suisse has named senior fixed-income banker Garrett Curran to replace James Leigh- Pemberton as chief executive.
Curran joined Credit Suisse in 2008 from Dresdner Kleinwort and currently a managing director at Credit Suisse.

Curran will take on the role at the end of October in addition to his existing responsibilities.
Leigh-Pemberton left Credit Suisse this month to take the helm of UK Financial Investments, the government unit that manages taxpayer shareholdings in Lloyds and Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).
